Mrs. Carrie Lynch
It is with great excitement I join WD Williams Elementary. I am a graduate of Owen High, and am grateful to be returning to the Valley. I know how special this community is and am glad to be a part in educating our youngest learners.
Before coming to Williams, I served as an Assistant Principal in Asheville City Schools for two years. I also taught in an elementary classroom for eight years at Black Mountain Elementary. I am a graduate of Appalachian State University with a degree in Elementary Education and licensure in School Administration. I also hold a Master’s degree in Special Education from Western Carolina University.
On a personal note, I am married to my wonderful husband who works in Human Resources at a manufacturing plant. I have two step-daughters and we just had a brand new baby girl this past May. I enjoy spending time with my family, cooking and being outside. When I have a few minutes to myself I like to run and read novels.
I consider myself a lifelong learner and have a motivation for professional growth. I hope to share the enthusiasm I find in the education with students, staff and families. I look forward to helping provide a learning environment that will allow our students to find their place in the world.
