Welcome to my Classroom
Ms. Diane Bridges
I was born and raised in the Bronx, New York where I taught elementary school for 7 years, before relocating to Asheville, NC and joining the W.D. Williams family in 2011. Prior to teaching, I worked at WABC, in New York City, for 11 years. I had the opportunity to travel all across the United States to all our satellite subsidiaries, and work with the sales managers in those news stations.
I am a graduate of John Jay College of Criminal Justice and briefly worked with the New York City Police Department Cadet Corp. I then went on to receive my Masters of Science in Education at Lehman College. Collectively I have taught 2nd, 4th, and 5th grades. I also contracted as an Adjunct Reading Specialist at Lehman College for grades 7-12. I participated in the Columbia University Reading and Writing Project in NYC for 3 years. During my school breaks, I would vacation here in the mountains, where I eventually found home.
When I am not working I love spending time with my children, playing with my big, old pup, riding my motorcycle, and visiting new places.
