Meet the Teacher

Welcome! Welcome to my Classroom

Krystal Collins

I'm very excited about being your child's teacher this year! A little bit about myself. I'm a product of Buncombe County Schools. I graduated from Owen High School in 2003. Then, I went to UNC-Asheville where I received my Bachelors in Psychology and my K-6 teaching license. I've been at Williams since 2010.  I taught 2nd grade for three years, and then moved to 3rd grade. I also worked two years in Title I as an assistant. I enjoy learning just as much as my students do. My teaching philosophy is learning should be purposeful and meaningful, but also fun.

My parents are two individuals who are very important to me. I also have a brother who is attending Appalachian State University . I have three dogs; Molly, Dasher and Comet.  I love the color purple and my favorite animal is an elephant. I also enjoy cooking and baking, reading a good book, being outdoors, gardening, antique shopping, and visiting new places.

I'm looking forward to a year full of learning, adventure and fun! If you have any questions, please feel free to email me or contact the school.
