On Friday, November 4th, our class went on a fantastic field trip to three historic places in our beautiful mountains. First stop was Davidson's Fort where we learned about North Carolina's role in the American Revolution and about the Cherokee. Second stop was the Gateway Museum, where we learned about the settlers arriving in our mountains. We also made our own candles. Finally, we had a tour of the Carson House, which gave a glimpse into the lives of successful settlers in Rutherford County. It was a beautiful educational day. Click on the photo album to see more!
