Students enjoyed a morning of high-energy basketball fun, and found inspiration in talented college athletes, musicians, and performers! On Friday, several WD students were invited to a reception in their honor at the Black Mountain Center for the Arts. This art show features the art of students from several Swannanoa valley schools! It was a fun night and we want to thank the Black Mountain Center for the Arts and our art teacher, Mrs. Medsker for making this night happen for our students! This art show is on display at the Black Mountain Center for the Arts until Feburay 2. #WDistheplacetobe!

In December, our 1st grade Dual Language class celebrated the tradition of pinatas! They learned how to build a pinata from scratch and worked together to create one for a class celebration. They did a FANTASTIC job!
