Noteboom, Khrista (4th Grade)

Welcome to Mrs. Noteboom's Classroom!

Mrs. Khrista Noteboom

Thanks for visiting my classroom website!

This is my eleventh year of teaching at W.D. Williams Elementary School.  I spent my first three years in 2nd grade, four years in 3rd grade, and back to 2nd grade for the past 3 years!

I graduated from high school and college in MI, but have traveled extensively and settled here in 2006 for the mountain beauty and milder climate.  My family and I LOVE it here!

Teaching is my second career.  I started with a Bachelor of Arts in Broadcast/Cable Production and German from Western Michigan University in 1998.  After spending some time working at a PBS station in Idaho and managing a fine-dining restaurant, I cherished several years staying at home and raising my two oldest children.  At the same time, I worked towards earning my teaching certificate at Grand Valley State University (in Allendale, MI). Six years ago, I completed my Masters of Education at GVSU.

My family is part of the Owen district, even though we live in Enka.  My husband teaches sixth grade science at OMS.  We are blessed with 3 amazing sons.  Our oldest is a junior at OHS this year. The middle child is an 8th grader at OMS, and our youngest is in 4th grade at Williams. Obviously, we think very highly of the Owen district.

In the unusual event that I have some free time, I enjoy cooking, reading, traveling, snowboarding, singing, and socializing.

I am committed to helping all children succeed, and truly enjoy educating young people.
