BCS 5th graders have the chance to score a slam dunk with markers, crayons, and colored pencils.
The Art in Action contest, part of the Ingles SoCon college basketball tournament, gives 5th graders an opportunity to have their artwork displayed on the cover of the tournament program. Teachers have shared the submission forms and templates with students in schools. Families may also print the form and see the guidelines from this link, and print the template here.
This year’s theme is “Asheville and the way sports connect us all - to each other and to our community.” Artwork is due to teachers by Feb. 3. The winner will be honored during one of the first two days of the tournament during its Education Days. SoCon returns to the Harrah’s Cherokee Center Asheville March 6-9.
